Kristin Fisher is joining CNN in 2021. She'll be CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. In this role, Fisher will cover everything including NASA's new Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin was born into the sector of space, as the daughter and granddaughter of NASA astronauts. In the past five years, she has been covering space policy under the Biden and Trump administrations on FOX News. Through her tenure, she reported on the 2020 presidential campaign, the impeachment trial as well as two initiatives to end the corona virus pandemic, as well as two different administrations' efforts. Kristin traveled extensively, both with the president and vice president. She was even on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Prior to becoming a part of the company in, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through local TV news markets which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin's camera skills has led her to create Field Mouse Films which specialized creating documentary-style films for corporate customers such as Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and three year old daughter.
